The “We Dance” program by Classical Arts Entertainment offers young dancers a wonderful chance to audition, rehearse, and perform with the esteemed international touring ballet troupe of the State Ballet Theater of Ukraine in 2023-2024.
This holiday season, the renowned State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine will be showcasing their talent in over 65 cities across the US and Canada. From November through January 2023-2024, the Theatre will be presenting classic full-scale ballet productions such as the Nutcracker, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Moreover, the esteemed ballet company collaborates with local dance studios to provide opportunities for young talent to perform on stage alongside professional Ukrainian dancers.
Classical Arts Entertainment casts student dancers ages 5-18 in ancillary roles performing alongside the full Ukrainian company. A wide variety of parts for young dancers is offered, including:
Sleeping Beauty: Fairies, Mice, Party Scene, Clocks, Pages.
Swan Lake: Baby & Little Swans, Party Scene, Russian Dance.
Nutcracker: Party Scene, Angels, Bon-Bons, Chinese Dance.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Party Scene and more.
Auditions are held in most 65+ cities on the State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine’s tour.
State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine’s Local dancers have a wonderful opportunity to participate in professional productions of beloved classics such as Nutcracker, Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Sleeping Beauty, and Swan Lake. This holiday season, thousands of people will witness their performances. Being chosen as a cast member is a great privilege and honor. They will have the chance to work alongside professional directors, choreographers, and dancers, don exquisite costumes, and perform on a grand stage at the most prestigious theatre in town.
State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine
The State Ballet Theater of Ukraine will perform in America and Canada in the 2023-2024 season! This unique project will provide an opportunity to get acquainted with 55 ballet dancers representing the highest world level of classical ballet art!
The troupe is recognized as one of Ukraine’s most prestigious classical ballet institutions. It boasts a highly diverse repertoire, bearing the honor and task of preserving the precious heritage of the great Ukrainian dance. The troupe’s collection has always included great masterpieces of classical ballet, from Bournonville’s La Sylphide to Adam’s Giselle, Minkus’ Don Quixote and La Bayadère, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker. and Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, Prokofiev’s Cinderella, and various twentieth-century ballets by Stravinsky, Falla, and Shchedrin.
In addition, the ballet troupe includes the best performers and representatives of prestigious choreographic schools in Ukraine and the world. Many talented dancers at various times danced in the troupe of the State Ballet Theatre and were soloists of major international troupes. The State Ballet Theater of Ukraine has earned a first-class international reputation thanks to numerous tours worldwide.
